Everything You Need to Know

A simple framework that keeps lessons productive and enjoyable for every student.

Billing

  • Free 30-minute consultation
  • If you decide to continue lessons, the cost will be 140/month, which includes four 30-minute private lessons, one per week, paid in advance.
  • Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance so the lesson can be rescheduled.
  • All students are expected to schedule at least four lessons per month in order for their time to be reserved.

Lessons

  • Please arrive in advance of the scheduled lesson time with all needed materials for the lesson. Lesson time will not be extended for those who are not ready to begin on time.
  • Parents are encouraged to find child care for younger siblings during lessons. If this is not a possibility please provide quiet activities for the sibling to do during lessons.
  • Please turn cell phones off or on vibrate during lessons. Calls may be taken outside only.
  • Phones on silent or vibrate; calls taken outside
  • Please take care of business at the beginning of the lesson and not at the end, i.e. anticipated absence, paying of bills.
  • In order to maintain a healthy work/life balance I do not answer emails or texts over the weekend.
  • New students will be charged a $25 fee for materials and sheet music.

Behavior

  • Students are expected to conduct themselves in a courteous, respectful, and cooperative manner. Since many students are still young, I ask for the help of parents to ensure that their child behaves well so that we can maximize learning and fun.

Home Practice

  • The parent is the young child’s teacher at home. Parents are responsible for making sure that the child spends sufficient time practicing.
  • Assignments and practice are expected to have the same priority as homework.
  • Parents are asked to establish and maintain a consistent practice area and time.
  • The student’s progress will suffer if he/she does not practice.

Materials

  • Voice students must bring a water bottle to every lesson
  • All students must bring the required materials to each lesson

“Lessons must be cancelled at least 24 hours in advance to be eligible for rescheduling.”
